Yea, I'm feeling better.
I've been eating soups and drinking tea.

I want some pizza now.

Food poisoning sucks, I got ill from the same thing Nick did. It was 2+ weeks of hell.
I like to refer to it as "Truck Stop".

Sushi. sperry got it too. The place we got sick at actually got shut down for a little while. I could name 8+ people who got sick there. If only I would have know that before I went there.

I learned my lesson not to eat shrimp at the chow hall.

I think I crapped 8 times in the space of 3 hours. Again, liquid ****.

I think it comes down to preparation of the food. Someone became lax (not EX-lax ). My brother and I both got food poisoning from Jimboy's Tacos. The effects showed up more than 8 hours after we ate and became increasingly worse for the next 4 hours after that. We called the county health department and they sent an inspector to check it out (they are shortstaffed due to budget cuts - great!). Tests came back negative but we were told that a common thing in places like that are cooking oil used in the deep fryers that have been allowed to cool to room temperature and then re-used again. The bacteria is not killed off sufficiently by re-heating and gets into the food.

All it takes is a simple screw-up or a shortcut taken by an employee and you can get food poisoning. I've even observed a customer at buffets dropping a serving utensil on the floor and then after informing an employee about it, the utensil is picked up from the floor and placed right back into the food! I told the manager after that and he understood.

The real problem here is a lack of respect by employees. Pisses me off.

I'm not an employee, just a wacky customer who has a thing for the Colonel.
