Don't call them junkyards - Rancho Cordova's auto recyclers

I haven't been to these auto recycling yards for many years. It's a far cry from the muddy and unorganized U-Pull-It wrecking yards.

Trees line the roads of this verdant plain filled with wrecks about 15 miles east of downtown Sacramento, and the spruced-up real estate with neatly mowed lawns practically invites you in to have a look -- and in the case of these 22 singular wrecking yards, all part of Rancho Cordova Specialized Recyclers (RCSR) (www.rcsr.com), the real aim is to have a look for a certain part for a certain car.

Parts pullers Rafael Compos and Omar Galicia begin removing all the usable parts from wrecked trucks at GM Car and Truck recyclers in Rancho Cordova.

Customers line up at HAP (Honda, Acura Parts) Recycling Parts in Rancho Cordova to buy used parts for a fraction of the new price.

Rudy and Omar Galicia move the rear end for a Chevy Tahoe truck for a customer from Sacramento.

Whilst attending CSUS, I worked at XXXX Dismantlers.
Wow, the owner raked in the dough.
