Between Fulton on 99 all the way to the weigh station on 80 there were numerous cops out. Cruiser sitting at the weigh station with his radar out.

I got popped by a bike cop pulling onto 99 from Fulton. He started riding behind me right after the Watt exit. I knew it wasnt going to be good haha. He lit me up and i pulled over right before the Madison exit on the shoulder.

He said he got me going 83mph onto the freeway from 99. He wasnt parked, he was already riding so im not sure where he got that. I said to him "honestly I dont think I was going over 75, I was just getting infront of the semi truck in the slow lane". He said he noticed that I waited till the end of the merge lane to get over. Told him my gas light just came on and I thought about going to the Shell station on Watt, but im just in a hurry to go to my parents house for a christmas pic.

He took my license and reg and went back to his bike. Came back and told me to slow it down. Told him thanks and shook his hand and off I went

 

Thanks for the heads up. I'm heading that way in about an hour for a party. Gonna sleep over so no worries on doing anything stupid like drinking and driving.

Just got back from South Lake Tahoe as well. Hekala cops all the way down, even til it hits 680.

 

He would know, he got pulled over!! =]

 

I saw a TON from San Jose up to SF last night. Saw a red bimmer try to hide, but he got busted

 

red = not so inconspicuous

 

They must be stepping up enfarcement all over the place, because I got nailed by CHP on that downhill spot on 20E before the bridge over Yuba River. I usually try to check my speed heading down that long downhill before the bridge, because I know they like to sit on that side road or anywhere along 20 in that spot to clock vehicles coming over the peak, but this time I didn't manage my speed well enough. I was on my bike heading out to Grass Valley for the annual toy run, and when I looked down at my GPS, my speed was about 72. As soon as I came over the rise, I looked way down the road & saw what looked like a cruiser, then looked down at my GPS for my speed, backed off the throttle, his lights came on, and I knew it was time for traffic school again... Merry Christmas!
