it all depends on who undergoes the greatest change in velocity... so what your saying isnt quite correct...

example.... car hits bigrig while rig is parked, vs bigrig htis car while car is parked... big difference. so if he was going 20mph hit you and stoped in 6feet vs you car being parked and moving 6 feet, he underwent a greated change in velocity over the same distance. your change in velocity was, however more violent due to acceleration then deceleration (impact ---> stop)

I'm OK. my hand hit the dash and the tips of my fingers are bruised but everything else seems fine so far.

Good thing I didn't get it aligned yet.

simple estimate pre-teardown is $2500

At least I can work on the back yard now. Top soil delivery tomorrow. Sod on saturday.

It will be at least $4K, provided the suspension is okay. Those are pretty much the same parts my deer friend took out on my STi and then some.

I hope she gets fixed soon.

Both insurance adjusters are saying $6800-$7300 . And those are still pre-tear down numbers.

Geico (my insurance) wants to use a recycled OEM hood and fender. I think I'll let the other insurance co take over from here.

they can't MAKE you use used (aka "recycled") parts.

all you have to do is say you only want NEW Subaru OE replacement parts used to ensure there is no future problems.

Go straight through the other guy's insurance. I still haven't recovered my deductible after going through my own when I got rear ended last year. Chances are they will treat you well in the hopes you will be so impressed you switch to them. Or something.

The other insurance company isn't accepting fault yet. Wednesday I can get the police report and show it to them after I wipe my *** with it.
