so they hired 130ish new officers...does that mean the placer county sherrifs will have more people?

no, this means that some sacramento county sheriff's deputies will be out of work. citrus heights has been contracting officers from sac sheriff dept. to work up there. rancho cordova pd and i believe elk grove pd do the same thing currently.

either sac county or placer had a contract with CH to provide police protection for thier city. now ch has thier own force...so where do the ones from citrus heights go?

I am confused. Citrus Heights isn't really "growing" and what is Folsom PD doing other then driving around taking coffee breaks?

Just confused on the justification of hiring more. Are they that low?

said 4-7 cars max at one time in CH. they definitely need more. they have a big crime rate. lots of cars stolen.

Did you read the other posts? CHPD is not hiring more, they are just hiring their own police force as opposed to contracting out to other departments to fill that role. In the long run, this will be a cost savings for them.

As for Folsom, that town is exploding with new homes and the coverage area is expanding.
