Thumbs down Bank of America Sucks *****

About 2 months ago I went and deposited a check at Bank of America. 2 days later I went and withdrew some money. The balance was off by the amount of the check deposted 2 days earlier. I went into BOA to find out what was going on. They told me that they had lost the check and that I needed to contact my company to see if they could do a stop payment on the check and re-issue another check. I also told them that I also have a BOA credit card and that I would not block more of my money by making any payments until the issue is resolved. They said it would not be a problem because it was their fault the check was lost. I called the company and they said they would investigate it and send me a stop payment form. 3 weeks later I receive a stop payment form in the mail. I filled it out and sent it back to the company. Another 3 weeks later I receive a call saying that the check has already been cashed by BOA. Then I went to BOA to let them know that the check had already been cashed by them and they told me that they needed proof from the company with all of the info regarding the date, time, etc., of the cashed check. I then called the my company back and told them I needed information on the check and they told me that they would need to investigate it and that I should receive something in the mail in about 2 weeks.

Two weeks ago, I went and paid my credit card bill because school was starting and I needed to use my credit card to pay for classes and books. I tried to pay for some classes online but the card was declined. I still had over 10k availble credit for that card so I called BOA to see what was going on. They told me the card had been cancelled because of non-payment for 2 consecutive months. I told them the situation and they said I needed proof from the BOA branch saying that it was their fault. I contacted the branch and they said they needed proof of the check from my company before they could send anything to the BOA credit card offices.

During this time I ended up paying cash for all of my classes and books (+1500) so my shortblock swap has been put on hold .

Bank of America is pure unadulterated evil. I won't go into a long story, but they are the worst.

I hate Well's Fargo.

I've actually had BofA for 8 years now and I've never had any problems.

For the record, I currently have Wells Fargo, and they've been pissing me off too. It's time to switch to a credit union, methinks.

+1! I use BofA as well and have for 3yrs now. theyre meh...i havent been screwed over really. they made an error once on depositing my check thru some random desk and not the actual teller so i will NEVER do that again (big mess) overall im not so satisfied with them, but im so lazy to switch banks and move so much info really. that and well all banks suck

BofA sucks, no question. Years ago I had a business they screwed over with their out of whack market analysis. I took everything out of BofA and moved to a credit union. The mortage on my house ended up being bought by them and I refinanced just to get away. The look on the BofA rep was priceless when she asked why I was refinancing and I told her it was because BofA was a bunch of p*cks.

BOFA sucks ballz. The only part of BOFA that is good is the government credit card.

the only times i've ever really had poblems with BofA (not counting the stupid driveway on the broadway one, ****** up my damn muffler!), it never actually ended up being their fault. it was always checks were deposited too late (by other people), or sent too late (to me by other people), stuff like that. BofA may not be the best bank out there, but they've always treated me right.
