The guy actually went around talking crap at meets? Not every experience will be the same...first of all. Why tell EVERYONE not to go there. One mishap and the guy's ruined? Don't think so man. From what everyone ELSE has said. Paul is a great guy to have some tuning done. Take the thing back to paul first. ISH HAPPENS, and could have been fixed...ever heard of learning from mistakes?

OP you're an idiot. Good luck with tuner x. You're gonna need it.
You just threw salt in the eyes of one of the most stand up, straight forward shop owners in the business. Get this quick, when tuner x destroys your car or does something else to tarnish your relationship, you might have a tough time finding another shop to work with you. The last thing any of the respectable shops need or want is a customer like you.

I think OP needs to come back in here and give out more details. Definitely a couple messed up things he did that I dont understand and question:
1) Why not go back to Paul or at least call him before making this thread?
2) Did you really expect the people in here (that worship the ground he walks on) to agree or sympathize with you?

This thread is ridiculous. This should have been handled person to person between the parties involved.
Oh, and this guy showed up to the meet tonight and started preaching about his "bad experience" with dbtuned to everyone there. I read this thread earlier today, didn't really care to hear it again, so I continued with other conversations going on at the time. Threads like these are nothing more than "Look at me" threads.
OP, when you're at meets, admitting that you run your car as hard as you do doesn't help your case. Anyways, if you have a problem, you need to handle it with the person you have the problem with.

Responsibility is always with the car owner, you know that whole "pay to play" thing? Any warranty would have ended when OP let someone else tune his car.
Had he taken the car back to Paul, I am quite sure that Paul would have taken a look and worked with him to resolve any issues. However at this point, even if the motor is a total loss there is no way to prove that it wasn't "Tuner Ed's" changes that caused the problem.
If I was Paul, I would never touch that car again.
