Anyone here enjoy fishing?
Seriously. I know it sounds sorta redneck but I really need to start doing it again.
Back when I was 15-17 me and my father used to fish on a semi-pro circuit here in Northern California called Won-bass. Used to fish about 150-200 days out of the year if possible on my father's bass boat (which he sold last year).
All I do now is think about finding a nice bass pond. I used to frequent this awesome 10 acre trophy bass pond in Lincoln but the man sold the land to a private development. Now the pond has litter on the shores and you can't even get back their unless you're a resident. Used to be some great turkey hunting back there too. It's a shame...
Kalifornia sucks for fishing these days. If it's not a govt protected refuge (which is good for nature), it's a pond on private land or one that requires $$$ to fish. There's that one private pond off Jackson Hwy but you have to pay for it too. I'm not talking Mather or Rancho Seco anymore. There's a lake toward the foothills called Hidden Lake that produces some great bass. But the name of the lake is not joking. It's a PITA to find. I want to find that diamond in the rough bass pond. I already have my secret places for Trout. Anyone have a spot or know anyone with private land you can get access?
It's either that or I need to look into buying a 14' boat.

But yeah, thanks for the advice and offers so far. I'm mainly looking for a nice quiet pond I can pull crappie and bluegill out of all day long with nightcrawlers while drinking beer.

Eric, Nate's trying to get rid of his old boat, it'd be a great fishing boat.....
$1000 for it, trailer has new tires, boat has recent maintenance and stuff. Give him a call at the shop
