What dirt road is this? I drive Latrobe from EDH all the way to Hwy 16 every day for work and haven't seen a dirt road.

To the OP, check out Ponderosa Road between Applegate (just north on 80 from Auburn) and Forresthill.

ok so your driving to 16 from edh.... you know like 10 min down where you cross over the train tracks? where S shingle road is? there is a small paved road you take on the right and it turns to dirt. its kind worn pretty good so its not ideal by any means but its dirt check it out next time you go by.

Ohhhhhhh, that road. I usually go the other way (east) into Shingle Springs. I've never taken it west. Good to know. If we ever get a dry day on my days off, I'm gonna go hit up Ponderosa Way between Applegate and Forresthill.

Watch out the south side is pretty rough right now, I even punctured a rally tire on it, the north side of the river is very pretty though. Silas is that the road that ends up turning into latrobe down by scott road? That water crossing may still be pretty full.

Here's the link to the starting point off Latrobe Rd: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...69222&t=h&z=15

It ends near Rancho Murieta at Scott Rd.

It's labeled Latrobe Rd on the map which is kinda strange, cuz the Latrobe I'm on every day goes from EDH to Hwy 16 in Amador County. But if you find the intersection of Scott/Latrobe near Stonehouse in Rancho Murieta, the road head east toward the town of Latrobe, which is all of like 5 houses and 1 horribly disguised cell phone tower/pine tree.

I'm actually gonna head out there right now and check it out. Perfect day for a drive!
