Now i understand its impossible for my friend not to see that crash. In panic mode lots of **** happens. He obviously left the scene due to freaking out. Last time he crashed the camero left the scene but he was ok. So mabie he was asuming the same thing. It's up to the Lord now.
DZ: sorry, i was being an ***. Last thing i need to be doing is making enemies over this.

The Sacramento County District Attorney said it isn't common but her office has charged others with second-degree murder in street racing cases, usually when an innocent third party is killed.

I took a look at the pic of the body, it looks like his seat belt came undone or was not on.
If I was being charged with 2nd degree murder that would be a big fkn deal.

This is why you don't street race. Because CHP and local PD are trying so hard to cut down on illegal street racing, they're getting both parties on everything they can. If one guy dies in the race and they find the other driver, they'll pin on him all the charges possible. Even if this guy does get acquitted on the murder charges, the lawyer fees will not be cheap and he'll probably lose his job in the process (for missing work while in jail and/or in court). One "innocent" street race can really ruin your life, even if you don't die.

With how many great tracks there are around the bay area there is no excuse.....a slick overtaking move on a far more powerfull car (vette, stang etc) is sooo much more satisfying when you not risking yours and your family's life, and the few laps before the overtaking move when you are running them down, and the few laps afterwards when you are pulling away from them is a great feeling.
I never tracked once before I moved to the bay area and bought a scooby, but now I do it makes me a lot safer driver on public roads, it's like I got a lot of it out of my system....
After the stupid stuff I pulled on public roads between the ages 17-25 years and got away with, I have to feel sorry for the guy who's dead and the guy who's going to jail....I'm lucky to be alive and so is he...I'm sure a lot of people on these boards are in the same boat.
