Road Racing is what on track, wheel to wheel racing is called. Thats what its called, and thats what people who know what they are talking about call it.
As a road racer in the process of beginning a w2w race campaign, I am glad there is a forum dedicated to road racing. Hopefully it will be a great place for road racers to swap info and talk, lets just get our terminology straight ok?
You are getting road racing confused with street racing, which are complete polar opposites. And in case you didnt know, i-club does not promote or condone street racing. If you are wondering why some people get worked up about this, (and I actually toned this post down a good bit) it is because of the work, money, time and effort put in by a driver to develop road racing skills. Getting it confused with illegal no skill street racing can hit a nerve. So if you honestly just misunderstood then please just do a little research before you post next time so you will know the proper terms. Next time I might not be so nice

How about not jumping down each others throats when we hear something we disagree with. This is supposed to be the new and improved i-club. How will threads like this attract new members?
Although Road Racing is the obvious term for those of us that are "in the know", there are vastly more people that are not "in the know." Nearly every time I tell people that I am involved in road racing, they get a look of shock on their face because they think I am racing on roads.
I have not problem renaming the forum to Road Course Racing or Circuit Racing.

How about we all just try little harder to educate people 'not in the know'? Why not just explain to people when they misinterpret? Personally, I dont have any prob calling it Road Racing. In fact, i love Road Racing

I've been following motorcycle roadracing for years. I can see how the term "Road Racing" could be misinterpreted by those who are not as knowledgable.
I didnt know squat about subie's until I joined I-Club a year ago. The information here is invaulable and always available.
So, be nice to noobs(myself included) and they may someday share their info with others on this board....And around it goes>>>>>>>>>
