McLaren turned the tables on Ferrari in Friday afternoon's second practice for the Belgian Grand Prix , with Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton separated by 0.111s as they headed the times from Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.
Alonso lapped his MP4-22 in 1m 46.654s, a time Hamilton would probably have beaten if he had not got slightly sideways exiting Turn 18 (the ‘new’ Bus Stop). He stopped the clocks in 1m 46.765s instead. That compared with Massa’s 1m 46.953s and Raikkonen’s 1m 47.166s.
This time the Toyota duo of Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher led the pursuit, with 1m 47.491 and 1m 47.946s apiece.
Renault’s Giancarlo Fisichella was next up on 1m 48.086s, from Red Bull’s Mark Webber (1m 48.271s), BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica (1m 48.279s), Heikki Kovalainen in the second Renault (1m 48.567s), BMW Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld (1m 48.606s), Nico Rosberg in the Williams (1m 48.840s), David Coulthard (whose Red Bull stopped on the circuit at ***nes), and Honda’s Jenson Button (1m 48.919s).
Rubens Barrichello lapped his sister Honda in 1m 49.364s, just ahead of Alex Wurz’s Williams (1m 49.393s). Sakon Yamamoto had his best day yet for Spyker, taking his F8-VIIB round in 1m 49.697s for 17th, then came Toro Rosso’s Sebastian Vettel (1m 49.720s), the Super Aguri of Takuma Sato (1m 50.168s), Adrian Sutil’s Spyker (1m 50.399s), and Anthony Davidson in the other Super Aguri (1m 50.542s).
Right at the back, Vitantonio Liuzzi’s miserable day ended when his Toro Rosso’s Ferrari engine (which had done two races already) broke.

Kimi on pole *****es! It's a celebration *****es!
He ran 45 flat in Q2!
Lap Record: 1:45.108 - K Raikkonen (2004)
Q2 time: 1:45.070
Mind you this track has been redesigned to be safer (slower), and with these guys being 200hp down from the '05 cars, it's amazing how much speed has been found in aero and mechanical grip.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. But why was Lewis so slower than Alonso? I think that Alonso being a ***** and not sharing his setup with the team is definitely hurting Lewis.
Kimi has 3 straight at Spa, I figured his love for that track alone was going to be a huge part in how he did.
Oh, if you don't want spoilers, I'd advise you to stay off the interweb
