Buttonwillow Performance Driving Clinic...?

next one's on Feb 15. $175, 8:30 ~ 4:30
http://www.buttonwillowraceway.com/clinic.htm

has anyone attended one of these? I'm thinking about going there, being a complete track newbie. Is this a good starting point?

I missed that one. A guy at my work instructs at those events. I think of group of us including the CFO of the company which has a WRX will be going up in April for the next clinic.

This is what I was told I should do before going up.
Change out to high temp brake fluid (Motul)
Good set of pads or extra set of pads.
Good tires.

They have helmets that they will provide you there but I guess if you're going to start doing this more often, I would invest in one. Maybe I'll see you there in a couple months.
