NOICE!!

*Opinion/Experience: Gonna run delrin or nylon caps for the air jacks and had to brace them in some more yet? Consider triangulating into a sub-cage or ancillary cage brace. Don't tie directly into the cage itself per-se as IIRC it is against code but watch for fatiguing around them closely.

The caps suck a little if on wet/damp but they also help the ends slide over uneven/unfinished surfaces and save fatigue on the mounts.

I'd explain further but people's brains would pop from overload.

*Bonus there is the air jack supports become part of the added weight offset you'd have to add due to the newer horsepower. (Also, YES, their kits are sick huh!!)

yes per rules here in the US the air jacks can not be tied into any part of the roll cage. We boxed them in at the end of the frame.

We had to ballast the car with about 40lbs to stay within the rules. Hopefully this will work out for us.

Got my tires!

Photos from the race over the weekend. During practice and qualify the FRS started to show some pace and was close to the pack however not a front runner. During the race was a different story and we ended up losing the engine. Our driver was reporting halfway into the race around maybe lap 15 the car started to feel slow. Then he was reporting that he was only hitting 130mph as opposed to 140mph on the straight then finally the car just stopped running.

I just finished unloading my gear back to my workshop and will start to look over and figure out the damage. I'm guessing right now that the rings fried. There is no break in the block.

Anyway photo dump.

Alright motor is out time to ****-ize what happened.

FA20 coming out

I will say this engine is super easy to pull thanks to the engine harness connector on the back.

all the accessory stuff pulled now getting to the block

and here we go damages to the engine:

Mr Crank got a little cranky on Mr Rod

teh aftermath of the boxing match

So people keep asking me wtf happened? Bad tune, overheat? A lot of internet tuner guessing lol

From what I can see oil starvation. The furthest rod from the oil pump failed. I feel that adding the turbo charger along with their oil recovery system which is on the passenger side head is also an accomplice to the problem.

Whats trashed: The block is trashed and so is driver side head

One of the valves was found in the pan, the other in the oil pump area lol
