I signed the petition and sent the email to Speed TV. A user action against Speed TV and Fox TV channels could be very effective, but it has to be done this week and done decisively. Nothing will make them change their mind about cancelling WRC and Formula One coverage faster than lost revenue.
1. Write an email to Speed TV and let them know what you think about dumping WRC ,F1 and other programming you may have enjoyed.
2. Very least: If you have Tivo or any other programming service for cable or satellite TV, delete Speed TV and all Fox channels from the list of channels you receive. This blocks them from your receiver and the data about the rejected channels is transmitted to the cable or satellite carrier.
3. Most effective: After doing the above, immediately cancel some or all of your premium TV service. In many cases, this is easily changed online. Email your TV service to let them know why you cancelling premium service. If everyone who wants WRC or F1 back again does this, the TV services will suffer a big economic hit and will do something to fix the situation. Just go to basic service for one month as a protest and change it back later if you want. One month of our lost premium revenue will make our point load and clear. Do not use Speed TV again if they do not reverse their poor decision.
4. Go to every Rally, F1, MX or Subie site that you know of and urge our friends to do the same thing.
Do it now or do it today. Let the TV services, Speed TV and Fox know you are angry and aren't going to take it anymore.

signed...1592 signatures...how many do we need?
yzercyber- unfortunately the methods you've suggest are going to be about just as useful as people boycotting gas stations to get cheaper prices

MBasile: Absolutely not true. This is nothing like the gas boycott because eventually, everyone had to buy gasoline... much sooner than later.
I advocate that we boycott a luxury item that we all can do without: TV programming. We don't need to watch "Pinks" or HBO to get to work next week or to buy groceries. Even a one month boycott of premium TV will have an effect. Permanently blocking out Speed TV and/or Fox channnels will be effective, too.
Realistically, I suppose there isn't much that can be done. Speed TV can't be too happy with the prospect of running a championship with Subaru and Ford duking it out with the privateers. I'm a WRC junkie and would have watched it anyway. Still, it sucks. So, I'm going to delete Speed TV from my Tivo "channels received" until the WRC or F1 coverage resumes.
I'm headed to the WRX for the drive home. That will make me feel better.
