Rally Questions
I want to enter my car into some rally events. currently, I drive an awd '95 Impreza, this car is bone stock except for the lights, and stereo. what would I need to do to get my ride ready for this?? also, I think my transmission is low on fluid, since it is hard to get into gears sometimes, but I don't know where to test the level of add some to it?? any body know? also I can't find the resivoir(I can't spell to save my life lol) for fluid for my slave cylinder, for example, the ford explorers with manual transmissions have it on the driver's side of the firewall. but this subaru is different, excellent car though.

1. you can run rally-x the way your car is.
in order to run real event you need tons of safty equipment. ie. Roll cage, FIA seats, 5-point belts, etc.
2. you can check you tranny fluid on the passenger side of the tranny it should be right under the stock air box to the right side of the tranny. it is a yellow dip stick.
The Clutch on your impreza is not hydrolic so you have no resivor.
Also check out the link right above you post about getting into rally.

found the dipstick, thanks, it was covered in grease and dirt, hard to see. tanny fluid was low. the gears are still alittle screwy though. thinking an=bout taking it to tioga transmissions tomrrow, few peepz reccomended it to me hopefully they can fix it, I shure hope I don't need a new clutch, pricey for the subys. sounds like a lot of work to get it ready, my parents would kill me if I put a roll cage in. I hope it is worth it, It should be, I love racing my friends on dirt roads(a little illegal I know but, sure is fun) my friends drive imprezas too, except for nate, he drives a mustang, they sure suck on dirt lol.

yeah, run your car at a rallyX. it should hold up fine.
bring a full size spare or more.
if the paint job matters to you, definitely get mud flaps and seriously consider the clear bra stuff.
