we used to have that old Lancer (round headlights) back in the PI...same as the Dodge Colt here in the US...pretty fast, then my Dad sold it and got the box type model (believe it was 85/86) the one with the flat square headlights

not really diggin the spoiler or wheel wells, but i think i'd still drive it if i could get it for less than 20k....

for $20k you could probably get the spoiler and wheel wells, and thats about it. hell, the transmissions in WRC cars can for for over $20k...

really? what's the difference between that and the lancer OZ Rally my neighbor has?

yeah, i was watching some show the other day and it said something like the suspension on one corner of the focus wrc cost about 10k... cripes!

WRC cars are pure unobtanium. the Subaru WRC transmission can shift 1-2-3-4-5-6-5-4-3-2-1 in the time that it takes you to make a 1-2 shift in your car. comparing a WRC car to it's street going namesake/chassis is like comparing an F16 fighter jet to a 747 airliner.

i would actually say that the lancer oz is the normal and the WRC the ridiculous version that is wicked suoped up but whatever... yeah yeah, i love listening to the engine sounds in a rally with that system that keeps the turbo spooled and the super fast shifts.. it's ear candy. mmmmm WRC counting the days to monte carlo already.
