March 2010's Photography Themes: "Green" and "Mood"
Please be sure to read the rules before posting your contributions! Muchos gracias folks.
"Green"
Green can mean many things, so get creative!
"Mood"
Pick a mood and capture it.
Rules:
Ending Date: March 31st
This isn't a competition, just a themed assignment for those who wish to participate. The only reason there is a due date is to keep the thread from going on and on. Feel free to PM me with options for other themes.
Constructive Criticism
The point of limiting criticism to Constructive Criticism to to keep people from just going "wow, your photo sucks" without offering a means for improvement. You could go "The composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." It would also nice and helps people receive CC better if you balance a negative with a positive such as "Well the lighting is nice, but the composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." or "I like the composition overall, but the busy background distracts me from the subject's face.'

You're welcome!
OKay so here is my official "Green" photo...took way too many in this cactus garden, but I like this one
Lens Canon EFS 18-55mm
Shutter 1/200
Ap. f/11.0
ISO 400
This was my second choice [i know we are only supposed to submit ONE but no one else is posting ], but the greens looked a bit yellow to me...
Lens Canon EFS 18-55mm
Shutter 1/320
Ap. f/16.0
ISO 800
Both images are unedited. Straight from the camera

Well Matt said he is almost through with the quarter, so then he'll have time jk jk
I bought a couple of amazing pin-up style dresses too that would be perfect for a shoot Now all I have to do is find a really old car and a hair/makeup lady :/

I think I'm going to take the advice of 2cam16 - because it is naturally lit (with the help of an SB-800) I'll stick with the lighting as it stands.
I'm glad Silke has a good sense of humor about it - when I showed up with lipstick on my cheek, she simply laughed.

I can't wait to see Matt dressed up in a bright red dress, cleavage showing, with bright red (matte) lipstick on, and the hair styled in a pompadour. Perhaps we can find an old car if we look hard enough - but make sure there's no metal on your outfit - sometimes the owners get skittish.
I would love to do some portraiture work with you though, me as one of the photographers though
