Is it just me.....
Or is anyone else REALLY tired of the overused parking garage/industrial/warehouse type photos? I mean seriously, can we do something else for god sakes? As I think about places where a car will be most (the track, twisty mountain roads, maybe with something cool in the foreground/ background that adds to the picture and makes sense) the last place I would picture a car, is at the back of a warehouse sideways in a loading dock. I know the digital photography boom has made everyone a "photographer" but the awesome thing about photography was being creative.
Haha maybe its just me? I know some folks are going to be offended cause there is a ton of these photos on here, but they are on every car site as well not just Suby's either.

OP, your looking for something different........ maybe this?
my new ride 02 S2k (not a subie) photoshoot done a day after i got it.. my car is slammed to the ground and still went on the backroads and drove up a steep driveway to get to the spot to shoot.
If someone can change the link so you can see it on here and not flickr.

1st-I like the razor sharp focus on the car and shallow depth of field but the composition makes you wonder what the subject is? Are you trying to show the background for a reason other than the lines? The focus leads yours eyes to the car but its half in the frame?? Now if the background was something of interest I could understand it.
2nd- Like the front on shot, but you really gain nothing from having all that headroom. The same pic cropped would not be any worse.
3rd-I like the leading lines of the building look cool, but remember the rules of leading lines... they generally lead to the subject because of how your eyes follow a picture. I do really like the soft exposure on the edges of the photo, and nice contrast and real pretty colors even for being dreary.
4th-I think I like this pic the best. I always liked candid pics for many reasons but the main reason for this pic is that the background means something. The subject is your photographer, but its very clear what he is doing and the car just adds to it. The whole picture makes sense and there is no wasted space.
I might be old school, but thats how I am. And FWIW I was a professional photojournalist in the Army as a past career. I'm not the best, but I am a decent photographer (although I don't even own a camera anymore, lol).
