Yeah it was like "nice....nice....looks good.......wow!!!" would have been tougher to pick if all had the same lighting setup.

I go through all the photos and rate the good ones with 1 star. I then go through the 1 stars and 2 star the best ones. Sometimes i've gone as far as 4 and 5 stars to pick the very best.
The model then gives me 10-20 of her favorites, I "flag"/cross check with my good ones to get about 2-10 ones we both like. I always decide what ones in the end to give. If she has an absolute fav, she gets that, plus my absolute favorite. Then a few more extras.
Photos like I posted above, a model will sometimes get more of, cause it takes me far less time to touch up, then say:
http://www.destroy-inc.com/photos/malice/blackrock.jpg
which takes me 10+ hours (as much as 60). The above photo, in high resolution may only take up to an hour at high rez, 20 minutes at web sized.
I usually deliver 1-2 high resolution, and the rest in web sized resolution. It takes far less time to touch up something small. 95% of the time, they aren't ever needed at high resolution. (people are like WTF why wouldn't you do them all high rez, what if a magazine wants them. i always say...I can redo them. Time saved not touching up now > time to redo.)
I always export, and touch up for my target destination.
I hope that covers my general work flow.

I have a chance to purchase two prime lenses.
A 28mm prime and a 50mm prime. which of the two would you gve as an all around use and for some car shoots with the rare portrait photos.
If I cant get both, which should I go with?

I think the 28mm might be better for all around use and car shots. I wouldn't recommend using it for portraits though.
50mm is a bit tight on cropped sensor and sometimes you won't be able to back up enough to get everything you want in the frame. It's awesome for portraits though.
