My old printer crapped out on me so I picked up an Epson WorkForce 845 for $140.

I haven't tried to print any photos yet and I know it won't be as good as a R3000 or a Canon Pixma PRO9500MkII but I'll try to get a couple prints out of it.

Do you guys think getting a nice printer like the R3000 is worth it? Compared to the 27¢ High-Res 8x10 prints from Costco?

It'll take some time for it to pay for itself, but in the long run it'll be worth it. You'll have to do some math and analysis to figure out your profit margin.

So, got to really use the a77 tonight. Not too shabby! I actually like some aspects of the EVF.

Hmm, looks like it's not worth it for me I guess. Especially since I don't sell any of my prints anyway.

$850 for the printer + 9 Ink cartridges at $30 a piece + about 55¢ a piece of photo paper = I need a better job

I've tried out the EFV once in a *** for about 5 minutes and it was pretty cool. I can imagine it being a lot easier and faster to get the shot right the first time compared to trial and error of the histogram/rear LCD.
