Hidden? I've been asked to shoot backstage, without a specified location
I'll also be shooting the runway, and the a77 has landed! Once it is in the BorrowLenses database I'll be reserving it. 12fps while autofocusing and improved high ISO performance? There's no question that I'll be using it for the runway.

From what I've been reading, if flashes aren't allowed I should still be able to shoot with a wide open aperture at ~1/200" and ISO 400 on the runway, so I'm not too concerned but "high" ISO noise.

Foot placement and eye direction. 12fps is overkill as I'm sure 5fps would span enough movement to get optimum placement, but I'm bringing the a77 because of the quick focusing on the runway. I'll be using the a850 backstage though.

Nevermind I found it. It's called the "Brenizer" method. It's basically using a large aperture lens and taking a panoramic around the person and stitching them together. So that picture above is taken with an 85mm f/1.4 but actually has an equivalent to a 28mm f/0.45
