Wow 1/30th. I'm gonna try that at the wet skid pad at Subiefest.
Those are legit lenses.

If the car is coming at you the rear will be all motion blured. If the car is going away the front is blurred.
If you are 90* to teh car it will be in focus.

If the car is turning left and right dont bother.

These are not my one and only tries of the day just so every one knows. There was a few a 1/50 then 1/30 then 1/5 none of the 1/5 came out good enough.

I tried probably 20 times and this is as good as it got. This one is a little bit of panning and a lot of cranking on the zoom while the shutter is open. The best thing I can tell you is to try it while a car is stationary. The hard part is not moving the camera while the shutter is open and you are zooming in. That is how this is done. Not done in photoshop.

Another tip for panning is to track the car and follow through.
1) start tracking through the view finder
2) as the car gets in front of you click the shutter
3) continue to follow the car

Pick a spot on the track that gives you a good view of the cars coming towards to and away. I always liked to be between the bridge and turn 6, and I think between turns 9 and 10
Yup no one will see that its f22 because its all blurred

My 5-in-1 reflector came in today along with my picture from Franctureme. I got a free code (that expired recently) for a 4x6 print so I thought I would get one of my pictures done and it turned out really good.

The bigger sizes get pretty pricey ($35 for 11x14) but it looks really sleek and cool.

Yeah definitely. Can't beat $1.30 8x10 prints!

Fractureme prints the picture on glass and it looks pretty. I want to do a huge panoramic in my room of the beach or something.

I went to Best Buy earlier and was testing out the D7000 and the 7D and I have to admit, I really liked shooting the 7D. It kind of just, felt better.

Oh and I also shot the Sony *** and my head hurt after awhile from the electronic viewfinder

Two strip boxes placed close together. You can tell by the catch lights in the eyes.

The reflection looks to be fluorescent tubes, but I don't the lighting on the face is solely from them. There is definitely some light source creating a strong rim light as seen on his hand. Also, I'd expect that kind of light structure to creating lighting similar to a ring light.
