February's Photography Assignments: "Love & Happiness" and/or "Depth of Field"
Please be sure to read the rules before posting your contributions! Muchos gracias
February's Theme #1: Love & Happiness
Well, it's February, so this one is kind of required
February's Theme #2: Depth of Field
A shot where the depth of field (log or short) really makes the shot
Rules:
Ending Date: February 28th
This isn't a competition, just a themed assignment for those who wish to participate. The only reason there is a due date is to keep the thread from going on and on. Feel free to PM me with options for other themes.
Constructive Criticism
The point of limiting criticism to Constructive Criticism to to keep people from just going "wow, your photo sucks" without offering a means for improvement. You could go "The composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." It would also nice and helps people receive CC better if you balance a negative with a positive such as "Well the lighting is nice, but the composition just isn't doing it for me, maybe try moving the subjects face to the left a few inches." or "I like the composition overall, but the busy background distracts me from the subject's face.'

Please note that I have removed the "no photoshop" rule
I've been thinking about this rule over the past few months. It was suggested in the first thread by a few members, so I threw it into the rules. However, I feel that photoshop is the equivalent of the developing process used with film. If anyone has any objections to the rule being removed, feel free to speak your mind here and we can all discuss it.

I also encourage you guys to take your time with these! I had an idea for the "Love & Happiness" one that I shot tonight, but I have a few more ideas that I want to try as well so I'm going to wait until later in the month and see what turned out the best

haha, the point of the thread is to get you thinking about, and going out and taking pictures. So all submissions should be from the given month, and actually taken after finding out what the theme is.
