eh, you wouldnt want it anyway. DVD doesnt even work. i met this guy on my way to my parents house in oregon. He told me it all works fine. Stupid me didnt test it on the spot, just took another i-clubbers word as honest.

now he sends me email today saying he moved, and he doesnt feel responsible for it blah blah blah.

dont buy from this guy

no, i didnt take it apart. i dont know who you are but appearantly you only got half the story.

here is the rest of it.

Dear Jason,
I am glad to hear that you are happy with the LCD screen and that it is
working for you and that piece is compliant with what you liked. I was not
aware of the DVD that was in the DVD player since I have never had the
player hooked up in my car. Upon thinking that there might have been a DVD
in the unit it would have been best to press the eject button. If it was
stuck at that time before trying to insert your disk if you had contacted me
there "might" have been something I could have worked out. Since you decided
to take the unit apart to get out the Legally Blonde dvd and then put it
back together, I feel I am no longer responsible since that in itself will
have voided the warranty all together. I would reccomend taking it to a shop
and trying to get it fixed or getting a unit off the net altogether that
will fit under a seat which will end up cheaper. But at this time and with
the unit taken apart, I am sorry to say that I no longer feel responsible
for the DVD unit not working. As of tomorrow morning early I will have
already left and will no longer have my cell phone as it will be turned off.
If any questions you can reach me by e-mail though and I will try to
respond.
Thanks...

and here is my response that he refuses to answer.

um, yeah

after i finally got the thing installed by a professional, he tried to power
it up. the lights came on then went off. he pushed every button trying to
get a display on the monitor. it wouldnt even display a menu. he pushed
the eject button and nothing happened. since i didnt get a manual with it,
we had no idea what to do. so he tried putting in a disk thinking that
maybe it would only show a greeting menu with a disk in. he tried to insert
another disk, and it made a noise like a disk was already in.

he then took the face plate off, NOT opening the unit at all. he could see
that there was a disk that wouldnt come out. with the face plate off we
could see the colors on the disk. it just happend that my girlfriend just
watched it a week ago and remembered what the disk looks like. thats how we
knew it was legally blonde.

bottom line, you sold me a bum DVD player on purpose. you told me you never
installed it. the guy at the shop that you gave me the number to SAID that
it WAS installed in your glove box.

i know you probably dont care since your ethics are bad enough to
intentionaly sell someone broken merchandise, but i gotta give ya a bad
trader rating on i-club.

have a good new year.

Jason

Sam Robertson lied to me telling me it was never installed in his car. but the shop that he bought it from and that HE GAVE me the number to said that it was indeed installed in the punks glove box.

what are you, his significant other? i dont see how this is your concern at all. cant sam speak for himself?

but how does it look like i "tried to install it blindly" ?

i took it to a professional instal place. sam said at the time that he didnt have the manual or remote, but would send them to me.
and he hasnt done that of course either.

i dont believe that it was never installed. the shop that i talked to and that installed it were very knowledgeable about sam and told me that they installed it in his glove box. what reason do they have to lie??

circuit city? what kind of place could not hook up a dvd player to a screen? WTF are you talking about? i took it to a professional car audio shop, and they DID install it like i said. thats how we found out it didnt work, BY INSTALLING IT. who ever said they couldnt install it?

looks like youre too stupid to even argue with.

bottom line, i got lied to and ripped off. and i have nothing more to say to you.

just warning my fellow i-club friends not to buy from this guy or this "Supapooh" dick cuz im sure his ethics are the same as sams since he feels the need to explain sams part of the story

Possible causes and questions;

Original installer “________“ did something wrong.

The original Uninstaller “_________“ did something wrong.

Who’s DVD "legally blonde" is installed in the unit that is stuck? ________ Not Jasons
It had to be inserted in the player at sometime, so it must have been used, turned on, or installed prior.

Depending on who uninstalled it, it might have been damaged in storage? Or swiched out by the shop for a dead one. I know the install shops are not the most trustworthy group of people.

Why was it left at the original shop after Sam bought it? or had it removed?

Were was it stored before it was sold to Jason? so far it looks like the original install shop. therefor the original uninstaller?

Is the serial number on the unit the same as on the original sales receipt?

The 2nd hand buyer Jason, tried to hook it up and did something wrong before taking it to the 2nd installer. ( he insists not)

The 2nd hand buyers install shop “The Regal Beagal” hooked up something wrong. (sounds not to be the case)

Why was it sold in the first place? _________

What happened to the original instructions? _________

All in all, it sounds like it should still be able to be returned to the original shop due to it has never been cracked into.

who has the reciept?

I will fill in the blanks as i get them.
