Yeah, those aren't bad, however many you can get around here are even better. The two mentioned previously are a couple of the better ones. Also, Growers & Okanagon from Canada are quite superb, as well as Seven Sisters

The English ones are a little too vinegary due to the time it takes for shipping. But they are very tasty in their Homeland.

Talking lines and the people that ruin them, next on Springer

I hate it when you stand in a long line and their is no one behind you. Then you get to the counter start conducting your business, and as soon as you do, some fat, smelly, rude Biotch comes in and immediately starts making noises like a horse, stomping her feet and taping her fingers on everything in sight because she has to wait a minute.

I also hate it when Evil Tim takes over, turns around and tells the lady to chill out and wait her turn like I did. Ok, that was funny and I didn't hate that. I also didn't hate all the stupid a$$ questions I started asking the receptionist behind the counter to really **** that biotch behind me off. God, I wish I would've had my video camera with me. The receptionist was trying not to laugh because she knew what I was doing, she even got in on it and was acting like she was looking for papers in her filling cabinet for me.

Later, Good Tim or is it Evil Tim
Someone, Please stop the voices I'm so confused

Don't recall trying Wyder's or Pyramid but then Pear cider is practically sacrilege.

Tried Cider Jack - nasty stuff! - and the brand with the Rhino on - one type is nice, the other aint up to much.

I did have a bottle of somethin' dry from Canada a while back, can't remember what it was called but it was damn good!

Haven't had any problems with imports though and I regularly raid the <deleted to protect my supply > for Woodpecker and Strongbow.

If yer gonna go to England and drink cider, you want to find a pub that serves the real stuff - sweet, cloudy with bits of apple (at least you hope they're apple) that stick to your teeth and a kick like a mule the next morning.

Yes, you can get Strongbow over here. Larry's Market has it, I think. If not there, Top's Market in Snohomish has it. Quite a few other fine beers as well.

Cider Jack IS nasty. Woodpecker is decent. Woodchuck "Granny Smith" Cider is gooooood stuff.

Interesting, didn't think to try Larry's Market.

Place I go is called 'The British Pantry' - 8125 161st Ave NE, Redmond, WA - they import English food & drink, plus a few other nik-naks, they also have a little English cafe there. Prices are higher than back home (obviously) but not outrageous. Cafe food's been decent the couple of times I ate there.

Only place I know to get cider on tap is a pseudo-English pub called the Elephant and Castle in downtown Seattle (5th Ave). Decent food but not really authentic English, though I do recommend the roast beef stuffed Yorkshire pudding - it's the only one you're likely to find hereabouts.

I think Tira Na Nog had some cider too but I haven't been in there since they changed the name.

We should start a new thread: 'I love Cider because...'

Fred's Rivertown Pub has Strongbow on tap. Every Tuesday night there is cask night, where they bring in a cask-conditioned keg in from a NW brewery. Great stuff. Starts at 6:30pm. Every once in a while they bring in a fresh "Cask" from a British brewery.

IIRC, there are quite a few pubs that have Cider on tap. Murphy's on 45th, Coopers Ale House, F.X. McRory's, The Owl and Thistle (very smokey in there) to mention a few.

I think your best bet would be the Horse Brass pub. Lots of tasties there.

Also, I lied about Fred's Riverplace having Strongbow on tap. They switch out occasionally, and the featured cider is Dry Blackthorn.

Blackthorn is good with me.

Now I just need to find those places - I actually live in Bellevue and work in downtown Seattle, so I'm not that familiar with Seattle proper outside of the downtown area.

Where are you on the Peninsula pgreen? I have friends over in Bremerton/Port Orchard, go kayaking in Poulsbo and even bought my car out in Port Angeles. (Nice dealership by the way - no b/s)

I'm in BEAUtiful downtown Bremerton. My hobbies include watching the locals graze. Fortunately, there's not much crime here as Dental records aren't kept, and everyone shares the same DNA.

Fred's, I-405 to 522 east, Hwy 9 north for 14 miles to Snohomish. Downtown amongst the antiques shops, of which there are many.

another way to get there, slower but easier, I-5 north to Everett, hwy 2 east to Snohomish. Follow signs to antique areas.

Back on topic! I hate people that don't understand the word "paragraph" and I hate it when those people combine their lack of grammar with "net-speak!"
