Spoon 11.6:1 compression pistons (w/ teflon coating on skirts)
Spoon 2 layer High Compression Head gasket (metal)
45 degree chamfer at top of cylinders (promotes uniform burning of fuel)
Full balancing to 1/100 of a gram (piston, rods, crank)
Toda high strength timing belt
Underdrive pulleys (alternator, steering pump)
Oil Catch Can (PCV bypass, K&N breather)
Prothane urethane engine mounts
Spoon 85¢ª thermostat
Spoon 1.35 bar rad cap

Yeah, the R is quicker than the STI off the line... but once it gets going, the Sti walks away.... until you get into the corners. R wins, hands down. Highly entertaining... R makes power until 9200rpm, Sti has torque..., doesn't seem to make much power beyond 6000rpm. R feels like its ready to explode, Sti is silky smooth.
