Mine is a 1.8. And the needles are visible at night. They don't light up but the catch the light from up under the pod.
I will try and get a less shaky pic of the guages up.

****,
I'm not sure I got any HP increase from the intake. I do know it drastically changed the sound of the car. Those factory air boxes are so when yer gramma drives the car she doesn't hear what's going on under the hood. I'd rather have the sound. From what I've heard and read, our cars don't benefit too much from intake or exhaust until you work the cams to make use of it. Although, and maybe it was all in my head, I thot she pulled a lil harder on takeoff after I put the intake on.
Your 1/4 mile time went up after the change in wheels?? Now correct me if I'm wrong but if WRX wheels are as light as they say, that should have reduced your rotational mass and gave the car an easier time of leaving the line. Course if the new tire/wheel combo isn't the same overall height as your stocks it prolly changed your gear ratio by a small amount. All kinds of things come into play. Anyway, I've seen where lots of guys are running grounding kits. I'm not too up on the electrical side so tell me what the benefits are of that exactly.
Mrmodex,
I'm not entirely sure they make cams for the 1.8 and 2.2 specifically. I was reading a tech article somewhere(will try to find it again and post it up here) and it said that you needed to put different cams in to make use of the intake and exhaust. My lil bro has a Subaru XT Turbo (EA82T) that he got a set of cams for. I emailed the place he got them from and they tried to sell me the same cams he got. I emailed them back that my car has the EJ18 and never heard anything back from them... I have been trying to figure out what works and what doesn't work between the 2.5, 2.2, and 1.8. Headers, cams, etc. Haven't been able to put my finger on it just yet. Will let you know what I find out.

Yeah the wheels are 2 inches more in diameter, but the tires on them are lower profile. If the tires on the 16 inch wheels are 205/55/16 that should make the overall diameter about the same as whatever 14s you had on. 195/65/14s or whatever.
Yeah a header would be nice. I think the Borlas that are famous for cracking but also for their lifetime guarantee and fit the 2.5 will fit ours. Not 100 percent sure on that tho.
Yeah man, slush box = bad... But hey, you can still make it a bit faster and upgrading handling should be doable.

I believe those are Kenwood KFC-Xv601
They go for $180 a pair. I got mine for $270 for all four.
They sound really good if you ask me. They've got a suspended tweet making for a totally uninterupted woofer cone. They make more bass than any 6.5 I've ever heard. That and they sound very crisp and full all around. When I heard 'em I knew I had to have a set. I used to have some beadz hanging from the rearview but with the new speakerz they vibrated and rattled so I took them out. I installed them myself and Dynamatted all four. Sounds very good. I recommend them.
