S&S Autoconcepts shop car

This is a 2002 subaru wrx shop car. This is currently being developed slowly for drag racing. We had a couple of runs at Infineon and Sacramento. Best run it did was 12.23 at 109 mph. This car was dynoed at 312 whp on mustang dyne 100 octane gas.

Mods are as follows.
-VF34 with sti injectors
-utec engine mgmt.
-turboxs tmic
-adjustable fuel p reg
-helix up pipe
-downpipe
-3" catback
-sti tranny
-tilton clutch
-upgraded sway bars
-perrin intake
-cusco coilovers

we decided to pull the engine out and perform cylinder head port and polish.

current mods to add would be
-264 cams with stiffer springs and titanium retainers
-stand alone engine management
-since the engine is out we decided to refresh the engine too and put new bearings, head studs and forged rods so the engine will be a little stronger. No change done on the crankshaft.


I hope we can hit 340 to 350 whp with this set up and hopefully also 11's on the strip. Included are the other pics also of this car. We'll see if the EJ20 engine will respond to light/moderate mods to produce good numbers.

312WHP on a VF34????? Sounds a bit high even for a 100 octane map....12.2x is very impressive on that set-up though.

It makes that power, I thought it was on 110 leaded though but it was a while ago and I am probably mistaken. It did however make 310whp+ which is about right for the times based on Andrew driving the absolute bollocks out of the car.
