New rims 17x8, lamin-x headlight kit, and tein H techs

I've posted in the Black Impreza Thread, but here is my car. I just need to get tinted and then I'm done. My rims are Rota Torques, for those of you that will ask, wrapped in 235/40/17 Kuhmo 712's. My exhaust is an HKS hi-power, painted in low gloss black to take away a little attention when I'm driving around.

thanks, funny story.

After I was done with the photo shoot, I forgot to take my fake JDM plate off, and drove 45 min to work, had two cops follow me, but they didn't pull me over. When I got out I went back, and I was like man, I'm a dumbass.

How long has your exhaust been painted?

and how is it holding up?

And if it is holding up well what did you use to paint it?

I have a friend who painted a cat-back flat black and it just flaked off after a while. I wanted to paint mine because I don't like how it looks.

southern PA, and yes it's bumpy as all hell.

My exhaust has been painted for 2 months, no flakes at all. The trick is, you need the High heat paint 500 degree is what i used. Then you need to get the part that you want painted very abrasive. I took fine grit sandpaper over the muffler for a good half and hour I scratched it up, stainless steal needs to be very abbrasive for paint to stick. Then it's just coats. Even coats, and a bunch of them. It takes a while, but it's just like anything else, it will turn out nice if you don't half *** it.

and thanks for the props.

Sounds like a plan. My friend had painted a piece of non polished straight pipe on his STi for a while with bad results. I guess he didn't prime it much if at all.
