My TGV deletes

these i belive are spec-c tgv's??? or some sort of jdm tgv, there is no rod and the housings on the ends are filled, i have done a set of usdm tho, to get the rod out u need to unscrew the butterflys or what i do is just drill them out once u slide those out, take off the sensor and pop it off, theres some plastic material and a metal washer on the end take a grinder and grind that off hit the rob with a punch and it will drop out the other side, after that u need to have the holes filled on the insides of the tgv where the road was removed, u might be able to get away with using some sort of expoxy, i would have them welded up and port match the chambers

I believe APS makes a unit to make the computer happy - you install them and connect the sensors, and it has the same action or resistance to satisfy the ECU that they are there and working. I am sure there are cheaper and simpler fixes.
The process Long Travel explained to remove them is the same way the TVIS butterflies were removed on my old Celica GT-4. Looked and worked great. It's good to know someone who is good with aluminum.

I wish he would quote me on a custom catback, but he wont answer. ;P
anyways...
So removing the flutter thing allows for a better air passage way to the cylinder I assume?
What exactly would turbulence do for emissions? Not as much air?

If you need some fab stuff done, lemme know - I know a guy here in the southbay that does amazing work. Anything that can't be done, he can do it and he makes CF and glass panels as well. The problem is, and it sounds like it's the same with James, the good guys are always busy.

APS has an integrated resistor/harness to keep the ECU happy. The newest Ecutek software will also have the ability to bypass the TGV sensors; otherwise, the car will go into limp mode. Paul, I'll let you know when we get ahold of it. We also have a set of Spec-C deletes sitting at the shop when you're ready.

Also, IAPerformance ( http://www.iaperformance.com/ ) out of AZ makes TGV deletes out of stock TGVs and they leave the mechanism on the housing for the little TGV motor/sensor that rotates the butterflies open and closed, so you can re-mount the stock sensor, and the ECU will never know the difference. I got mine from them, they were just delivered a few days ago....I dont have any pics just yet, but can post some up later if anyone is interested.
Oh yea, the IAPerformance TGVs are ALOT cheaper than the APS ones too....$150 + core (or $100 core charge for those that wanna keep the stock TGVs for later) vs. the APS ones at $500-$600 or so.
If you look on their website you WONT see the TGV deletes listed, but if you email Steven and ask him about them, he'll be able to give you more details.

The APS unit works flawlessly and comes with all the hardware but as mentioned before it is significantly more expensive than other alternatives. There is a brief explaination in the link.
