ok time for an update. things are going slow but they are going. a few setbacks 2 deaths in the fam so it has realy takein alot of time. anyways we have everything ready to drop exept for the wiring we just about had it done then we thought we sould do it another way hahaha. we are trying to make a wiring kit to work with the IAperformance wiring kit to adapt the wrx engine harnes to the avcs as well. this is taking alot of time but hopfuly it can help other people in the future that want to swap there non avcs usdm wrx hads to jdm avcs heads without having to buy the full wiring harnes.
No pics yet but I can tell you that adapting the 04-05 headlights to an 02-03 is fun fun fun. I hope to post more in about 24hrs to show some of the wiring that is geting done

and yes it is somewere in there. but for a quicky built 2.5 sti block with jdm V7 heads avo 400 turbo full exhaust spec C non DCCD six speed and alot of other stuff.

yeah we had more time to do some stuff. finly got the damn motor dropped in and the wiring done. if you guys can read rustys pizza box here is a pic hahahaha. We are thinking of making a kit to do the wiring as a complet plug and play form ecu to the plugs on the avcs. there would only be 9 pins that you would have to plug in to the wrx plug for the ecu but everything else would be clips. if there are people interested please let me know and we can make another one.

yeah well there is one other kit for it out there but they only do the wiring for the body harnes so prity much all you get in 9 wires with pins on them for about 200 bucks. not dogin it though because you aslo get the pinouts and factory color coding. but you have to get an v7 or v8 sti engine harnes to make it work right. it ends up being about 800 for wiring and 600 for the ecu. then you still have to do tuning (ecu or utek. another 900 bucks. so you are looking at about the same as a stand alone. well I realy dont want a stand alone because I drive alot and I dont want to have to retune all the time for temp and altitude. so I will stick with a learning setup like ecutek.

sill plugin away removed the cruz controle today and moved the air/fuel plug maf plug and that uther one that I cant think of the name for hahaha (the one in the up pipe). We are trying to make as much room a posable for later when I put the bigger turbo on (if I do one). I want to max out my avo 400 first seeing as I have never had it above 12.5 psi. I am also picking some gas torches this weekend so I can make a temp. set of intercooler piping. once I have the design I want I will be able to send them out and have them made form aluminum (unless I get a TIG by then ) other than that I did not have that much time today. and now I am going to have to give up the shop for a day to do some sereous bombing. I have a crazy *** blackwidow infestaion. I dont care that much about spiders but my GF is frekin out hahaha. so hopfully intercooler piping will be done by next week and I can start thinkin of geting this ***** tuned. but dont hold me to it everytime I change one thing to make it beter I see something else I want to change. it sucks but I guess that is just how it goes.

yeah I am looking at a few sets. I am thinkin about the 2 below but If they dont make the right offset I found a set of true wrc rims with the right offset I just dont know if I want to spend 550 each for them. I kinda want to play around with this car and I cant justify spending 2200 bucks on rums to f*** up in the dirt.

ok so it has been days and I have been working every chance I get on my car but with now 3 deaths in my fam and a nightmare dealing with attarco for my gf honda over the last six months on a reman motor for her civic ($1300plus about another ..1200 in sensors gaskets belts exct.) wich I have had to swap 3 times because they keep giving me crapy motors. 1 blew a headgasket in 500 miles (I would love to say it was because I was driving the crap out of it but is was just my GF driveing to work and back and keeping it under 4k to break it in. then the replaced that and they gave me a d16y7 insted of a Y8 witch because it was wraped in plastic and I was realy wanting to get it done I did not notice the one leter off untill I saw that the Vtec silinoid did not fit. then the gave me another d16y8 but when I got back to my house there was used motor oil all over the back of the truck form the motor. Last time I checked you cant reman a block without draning the oil . so I went back and now I am not sure whos faut this is but we threw a rod. had the oil changed on wed. then trew the rod on fri? there is no signs of oil coming out of anywere nor was the car burning oil. I would hope not on a les then 1500 mile motor. anyways I have been dealing with that. so today I pulled the head and I am praying that is was just a bearing and not a rod so I can just change them and be on my way. (no groves in the cylenders). anyway here is what I have done so far and in a bit I will post up what is going on with my wrx

ok so back to the wrx everythink is in and I prity much just have to fab up and intake for my car. I am going to run ecutek because Cobb is not redy with there jdm ECU AP. then later I will also run a utek on it so I can have 5 maps, launch control and flat foot shifting. I will first do a strong 91 oct tune then later with the utek get a tune for the street (winter driving) a powerfull yet smooth powerband. Then a drag tune and I will do a drag tune for C16.
So anyway I am going to hold of on doing the 04-05 front end because I need to let my GF drive my other car untill her honda is done. I am going to try and have this car running this week with a breakin map maby on fri I hope. Then in the next few weeks it is paint time. I am not sure if I am giong to paint it or I am just going to pay someone to paint it but the way this car is going it has been kinda a car for me to learn alot of things on so I might do it my self. I have only painted a VW buggy and a ae86 corolla that I was not very proud of. so for now this is what the car looks like and is probly going to still look like when I first start driving it (the wide fenders in the rear will be painted). the 04-05 frontend might get a tilt conversion and all get molded together but I am not sure if I am going to do that yet. I just think it would be sick to go back and forth from and 02 to and 05 in like 5min. and maby have one front end for the dirt (05) and one for the street (02).

looks great, I'm so happy you swapped back to the bugeye, the blobeye front hust didn't look right for some reason. Are you gonna stick with silver? What are your plans for the interior?
