BOY was I wrong. first thing that hapend was I blew the tranny about 9 days after I got the car. so it was down. luckaly I had an ae86 that I sold for $4,500. so I took that and put a little more money into it and got a 03 jdm non dccd 6 speed from an sti. for the rest of everything I put in a 92 turbo legacy r160 (lsd) a custom drive line, sti axles in the front and legacy in the rear.
shiping took about 1.5 months because of damn customs (Canada/US)
so stupid me all exited about having a stronger tranny thought to my self "I have had this thing for about a week now and it seems that the tranny is doing fide maby I will try and take off prity quick to I went to about 3.7k and sliped the clutch out. CRACK "oh ****" there goes an axel . so up she goes agen. I took the legacy axel's out and made a hybrid from my stock wrx ones with the legacy ones. and she is back on the road
so now I have my jdm six speed and my car is runing great. I never took it to the drag strip but I did run agenst my friend a few times. he has an EVO 9(not stock) and runs a 12.8 just about everytime he goes down the track. he normaly fineshes at about 110. when I run him we are dead even door to door till 100 and then he pulls form me. so I am thinkin that low 13's are about where I was at. I was only runing stock injectors and was only runing about 12 psi out of my avo 400.
at this point I have had the car for about 9 months and it had been on the road about 3 weeks total. Now it is time to go to SEMA woooo hoooo. wile I was there I got a really good deal on some parts. you dont want to know how good of a deal.
Then I get home and put on some stuff like my wrc wing, hood scoop, header and vortex gen. and I know I was not looking that cool because the wing was a little big for just a stock bugeye. but I knew there was more to come.
so 3 days after SEMA I was driving to the bay area (SF) and I had the radio blastin. and out of no where I come to a stop at a light and my car dies. so I turn of the radio and my car just barley starts and blows out a whole poop load of smoke. "sun of a *****" so the car gets towed home and is still siting there. on the brite side I do have a brand new sti 257 block with powder rods ross pistens race berings and arp rod bolts. with a set of rebuilt V7 sti heads arp headstuds and avcs cam gears, all on the way from my good budies Frank and Dan in Canada.(I am not going to run avcs till I go to a full stand alone. but I will some day that is why I want them there.)
and now it looks like I am going to be doing some body work. the wide sort
but for now this is what my car is going through. I think when I am done everything will be new and I sould have a fun little street/show car. and for all you guys that are going to tell me that I sould have just got an STI in the first place, I will only be in my car 32k including buying the car. and hopfully have around 370-400whp on mike's (GST) mustang dyno (after I trade off my turbo for the avo 550) so bugeye ftw
keep drivin

why buy an sti when you can build something better for cheaper...
not to mention the fun you go through....
I like the widebody...don't know about the wing though, but thats whats great about building your own car, do it how you want it...
its gonna be sweet when she's done

sure hope so. I did sell the wing and they do look good they just have to be on a widebody kit. and you also have to like that rally look. and that is what I am going for. I will be testing some new bumpers out that should be here in the next few weeks. they are wrc replicas in polly. so we will see how that goes as well

hey what's up mike.
thry are the kakumei wide fenders. and the bumpers are not in production as of yet. If you want more info on them or any Kakumei you can pm me. so far so good on the test fit for the fenders. I am not going to fully install them as of yet untill I get my new bumpers. untill then with the new short block, V7sti heads, and posably a new avo 550 maby I can keep up with some of those evo's out there

Yeah mike my motor is still not out of the shop yet. I gess there was a back order on the bearings. oh well beter done late and right than quick and cheap. and now I am thinkin of going with the hydra insted of the COBB AP because I really want to run that avcs. it would just kill me to know everything is there and I am not using it.
about the bugeye's funny you sould say that because he is talking about selling it. lol.
