sorry Al STi is on hold till I finish my Carina. goal is to get it atleast in running shape by summer time so i can take a few turns down the strip. STi will be recieving it's new heart next year

yea stock turbo and block have never cut it in my book. it'll be time to step up once I get this one rolling.

Also got the motor apart earlier today:
I had some problems getting the camshaft and main caps off but nothing a mallet couldn't take care of. my excited to get this project going again its starting to pick up pace so things are going good right now.

they wouldn't be getting my business if they did. they actually pulled the frame and pounded it back as close as possible, then filled in with Bondo to keep it straight. I specifically asked them to keep the bondo as thin as possible and they did a wonderful job at doing so.
we found some more rust spots as well so they will be finishing putting on new metal in those places and should be done by next Saturday.
