Read the information on this site about bulbs... http://lighting.mbz.org/home.html If the bulb is "blueish" then the chances are light output is lower than stock. If it manages to pump out the same output as stock the bulbs will burn out more quickly. Bottom line is any blue coating on the bulbs reduces the light emitted by the bulb. For a coated bulb to emit as much light as a stock bulb, the filament must be over-driven and the bulb will have a shorter light. To get a higher light output than stock you have to use a clear bulb with an over-driven filament. Yes the life will still be shorter than the stock bulbs but you will get a brighter light... As for silvervisions, they are a coated bulb and are good for looks but that's about it. Xtravision however is clear and should be brighter than stock but it's not gonna be "blueish." Guess it's a bit of a trade-off, looks vs. performance. Most owners of coated bulbs think they look brighter but it's purely psychological... They do look nicer though, I must admit!
