the gdoggmobile - part 2
it all started back in 1975. my dad brought me home from hilo hospital to our house in keaau in a subaru dl wagon. my dad had owned several subarus throughout my life. i was embarrased to ride in em because they were loud.
26 years later me and my wife are subaru owners. she has the wagon(WRX) me the STi- and on top of that i sell these bad boys.
my ongoing project will be long, slow and painful. as my mods will come only as a reward(self-rewarded) for my diligence as a husband, father and money-maker for the family. (priorities change after that ring goes on)
my first goal with my '04 STi is to beef up the susp(handling), braking and then power- (unless some crazy deal comes along, then i'll have to adapt my plan)
here are my small list of items installed
jic magic seats(recline)
blitz nur spec(axleback) *edit- changed to tanabe super hyper medallion full catback
blitz short ram(stolen from wifes wagon)
progress springs
progress 22mm rear sway bar
perrin rear endlinks
perrin crank pulley
sti replica strut tower brace *changed to JIC
PDE downpipe - 11/18
kartboy shifter bushings
hopeful future mods-
utec(we'll see)
kartboy or sti short throw shifter
jic coilovers
jic bullet(tit) exaust
fmic(not sure)
as for the rest, i'm not sure.
*special thanks to kyle, yusuke, ty and all others who i contantly seek for guidance
on my installs and direction for my car.
*blurry pictures... i'll post better ones soon.

nice baby seat ... man you sure u wanna get jic coilovers tho? that wouldn't fare too good with the wife .. if you ever want lovin again i wouldn't recommend it :P lol jp. very nice project, wish i had a sti .. buh im stuck with an wrx .. hey you seem knowledgeable, quick question .. you know the alternator tensioning mount, is that attached or part of anything? , mine cracked while i was installing a lightened crank pulley .. i was just torquing it up so the alternator wouldn't rub on one of the belts, dont know why it would crap .. must be some cheap *** metal .. anyway i know this dont belong here buh back to your car .. very nice ride good luck and congrats on the achievements.

Nice bro! I didn't know you bought a new one. I might stop by later today if you're at work. Maybe we can go for another test drive . If you need any help with any installs give me a call.

How do you like the JIC seats? I have been considering them for some time... If you don't mind me asking, how much do they go for? Comparable to Bride/Recaro? (Nice car btw)

krazyasian, wrexed, jdm_sal, and awd 20t... thanks for the compliments.
krazy- not sure 'bout that alternator tensioning mount- gotta go look in the morning... ty? got an answer for that?
awd 20t,
i love the seats- they sit perfect- about an inch lower than stock. although they are pretty narrow. the bolsters are pretty high also- so getting in and out is a chore... but i really love the support. once i get my harnesses i'll be set. in terms of pricing.. on the JIC website the msrp is $665- and the seat rails are roughly around $160. keep in mind that if you are short you might need to raise the seat height. overall the seats rock- plus i traded them straight up with a friend(for my STi seats).

rear seat
the WRX seat is heavier than my STi seat(sorry no specs). but i figure its okay cuz more weight to the rear . its nice to have a middle armrest now. although the pass through has no hole, and i don't feel like cutting it. there is an extra bolt in the middle of the seat- the STi has no hole(i forget! might be covered). i probably wont drill one. its mainly for the middle armrest.

update for 11/20/04
pics of the PDE downpipe- - - thanks to kyle and Ty!(yeah yeah.. i know i'm useless!)
plus since my last update i put in the tanabe exaust- sounds better! not as loud as the nurspec.
up next---- the coilovers.
immediately i notice the gain in the 4500 rpm range- FEELS good.
