Thought about it. Lots of money though. I would have to do a full drivetrain though. I would want to change my AT to MT also. We'll have to see. Swap isn't going to happen for awhile though. Mainly due to finances. I also want to complete a season for auto-x. I think what the plan is going to be is 2002 or 2003 WRX, JDM 5-speed with 4.11 final gear, and yeah. Do the conversion right. After that, when/if the block goes, I'll go with a built 2.5L block. That's the path I want to take, but we'll just have to see. Right now, just typical maintenance and auto-x.

Looks like I'll be really close to the next thing. I am more or less done with the car for the time being. I am hoping to auto-x a season in STX before I consider any more upgrades. To be honest, all the cheaper ones have already been done. Next will be some new rubber. Going to upgrade from my 215/45/17's to 235/40/17's. Purely for auto-x and also because I need a set of summer tires. I am really looking forward to that. I can't think of too many other things to do in the meantime. Just wear and tear stuff.
1. Spark Plugs
2. Spark Plug Wires
3. Steering Rack Bushings
4. Rear pads and rotors
5. Bucket seat (something to hold me in a little tighter for auto-x and track days)
That's really about it. And even these aren't high on the priority list.

So I ordered the fuel filter earlier this week and received them on Friday. Installed that with a little force. The stupid hose thing was on there pretty good. Had to ask a roommate to give me a hand pulling that sucker off. Anyways, that is in. Hoping to see some fuel efficiency increase which will be nice.
I am looking to pick up the tires pretty soon. They are almost here. I've had so much interest in my other set, that I would like to peel those off and sell them right away.
Probably not going to be ready by Round 2, but definitely by round 3, which will be awesome. Yay.

I just dropped off a check as a deposit for new tires. Going to be getting the Hankook RS2's and putting it on my summer set of wheels. I got a lot of interest in my Goodyear F1 Eagles, I finally just decided to peel those tires off and sell them. Need to call Auto Innovations and set up an appointment for those. I am probably not going to be able to run that set of tires Sunday. I would like to, but I don't think I'll be possible. I am a little worried about rubbing. I know the rear are fine, but my front is a little dumped. I am hoping that it won't be an issue, but we'll have to see.

I guess I won't be able to get my tires today. There was some type of miscommunication and I was quoted a price that was a lot less than what it was suppose to be. Yeah... I guess it happens. Oh well. I need to call AI and either cancel my appointment or just go in there and get my tires peeled off. Yeah...

Hmmm. I am not sure. I might just order the same tires, but from someone in PA. It'll cost about $40 more though. I guess that isn't bad, considering that I would have to spend about $10 in gas to pick it up in my current situation. I don't know.
Originally, I wanted to do RE-01R's but those are just too expensive. Probably will get down to Hankook RS2's or RT-615's.
What do you guys think? What do you guys like better?

Auto-X in Oakland
WET!! WET!! WET!!
Here are some pictures from today's auto-x. As you can see... very wet. Haha. Great to see a bunch of familiar faces. Thanks Karlton for riding along with me.
My times were okay. 52.4xx with one cone, 53.2xx with 3 or 4 cones, and 52.0xx with, I think, no cones. I saved that one I think. Definitely fun, despite the rain.
Added: Pics stolen from Craig Paterson (glider). Thanks.

I've decided to go with the RE-01R. Still a chunk of change away, but from what I heard, they last awhile. Probably going to end up using it as a summer/auto-x/track set.
