Get that thing dirty!
I say go a different route:
EJ20T with a manual is a given
But you should go to some of those wacky Australian web sites and get the thing a lift kit, throw some steel wheels and aggressive Michelin gravel tires on it and go off roading!
Then add a thule roof basket and a bank of PIAA 500XT's across the top or it. Maybe a roof mounted spare, too.
... if it all works out you can get a rebel flag and a gun rack too!

Especially if you can make it into a sleeper. making it a sleeper is key. You don't want them to see you coming until they are looking at your tail lights

The only thing is I don't like the look of it very much. The taillights are kind of ugly, the paint is starting to fade and stuff. I guess a paintjob and some new rims and a tint will make it much better.
