haha, that kinda happened to me once, but the bird hit my hood instead of the scoop and he bounced off and then died.

When i went to look at a 2004 wrx in Flemington there was a bird stuck in the scoop too. I had a feeling this happened regularly

something similar happened to my car. My car trapped a bird between the radiator and the bumper beam =\


i didn't find out until a month later, since my car was on jackstands the entire time.

a week ago I hit a bird with the bumper, fortunately only a few feathers went in the scoop and on my windshield wipers. Poor bird went flying over the car.
