04 STi: Project # II

as some of you may already know, i was in a pretty bad accident with my 04 wrx over this past summer, but i was able to save a few things from it to put into the new car as i had already planned on sticking with another subaru.

onto bigger and better things, 2 weeks after the accident, i was a new owner of an 04 sti. Thank you capitol subaru for everything.

i feel in love with the power difference and the 6 speed was awesome.

didnt really like the hood deflector, so i removed that shortly after.

first pic taken at the annual suby meet over at quary lakes.

had a few problems with the car when i bought it, so i took it to Speed Element, and noticed that the streering rack bushing was ripped, so speed element replaced that right then and there.

next few mods i did were install my old alpine head unit with ipod cable from my wrx and hella horns.

next up was a wrx trunk: thanks Gio for the trunk and Hugo for help with the installation at UCKK.

my birthday was just around the corner, and i received the best gifts: front lip and swift springs.

Anna came up with the idea to borrow my car for the day to take to school, and i use her car to get around town. Later that night, after having dinner with friends, i see her pull up and noticed something different about the car. i noticed the front lip but didnt believe it til i got a closer look. I found out, she worked on my car, while "she was at school," and with the help from Eric to install the lip and springs.

thanks Anna and Eric for the gifts and both of you installing the parts. you guys had me surprised.

at this point, it was christmas time, and i got more presents for the sti. they got me a TBE: helix DP to my old borla hush.

it all started a few months back when i was looking through classifieds and found a TBE going for really cheap. i hesitated and didnt buy the items. Later on, i find out Anna and Eric swooped on the deal, but the best part was how Anna and Eric installed it.

It was Christmas eve and they both waited for me to fall asleep, so around 1 i end up going to bed and while i was asleep, both of them worked on the car til about 8 in the morning. if you remember, it was raining that night, so this install was done in the cold/ rain.

next on the list was headlight baking. ive been wanting to do this for quite some time and the time finally came.

once again, another thank you to Eric and Anna while working on this while i was at work.

next up were HID yellow fogs, bought from apexcone. i saw the thread on BAIC about HIDs and saw yellow HID fogs going for cheap so i decided to get em. now i hear everyones order is put back, glad i ordered my set just in time.

not the greatest picture, but you get the point. wish they could be more yellow but i plan on doing the yellow film mod soon.

HUGE thanks goes out to my mechanics Eric and Anna

Speed Element thank you for taking the time to look at some of the problems that occured during the first few months of the purchase.

Mann Engineering for the space to work on the car, thanks Gary

Don't forget I also tuned the accessory belt for now.

I need to take some 09 photos once I get my car back with my camera charger.

Now I need to work on my own car once it's back

no sense in having 2 stis, I wanted a truck because I can find a million and 1 uses for it, plus I wanted a new car, and GM was offering insane discounting on it, I got it for about half of MSRP...no joke.

If you bend the clip a little more, it'll hold on better, but it's a little more of a ***** to get on too...
