Swapping trunks is easy...
1. Cut or disconnect the brake light
2. Unbolt the trunk
3. Swap trunks
4. Take off the emergency release
You also have to remove the releasing mechanism
5. Disconnect the line to the keyhole
6. Take off the metal U-ring by sliding it towards the center, you will want to move it up and down, while sliding it towards the center, should be a snap.
7. Then the take it out.
8. Put it all back
9. Drive away happy as can be =)

If I forgot anything sorry, It really is easy and should only take like 10 min.
Where the fun begins is exchanging the trunk torsion bars that go along with the trunk. Good luck.

davis is good. we can do it in my apartment parking lot on sunday. lots of room and very peaceful/no hassles. and yeah..swapped lots of trunks before but i'm not very good w/ the torsion bars...they're pretty tough.. my friend usually does em for me.

and yeah 26D paint code confirmed. me and max are sgm for sure since i just saw him yesterday. check your pm boxes - i'll send you guys my address and we can work out a meeting time.

hey max, is 11am good for you? jackov said he'd be here by 11.
for the sake of ease, jackov, you should keep your torsion bars while me and max d switch (so then we can deal with 2 sets of torsion bars instead of 3). those suckers are literally a pain to do.

i'll have my deck lid removed and ready before u guys get here.

I want to swap my torsion bar also as a complete swap. I don't want to mess up the trunk and fall back down due to increased weight.

from what I know the wrx and wingless have the same bars. Could very well be wrong tho. Not in the mood to research. Yea maybe we just keep things safe and all swap out. Can't freakin wait!!!!!!!! Halfway to 100% wingless !!!!
