Just like the title says, I want to trade my 05 Obsidian Black Pearl trunklid for a wingless trunklid. There's no dents, no any scratches, and the car is parked in my garage when I'm home; the car is located in Newark/Fremont/Union City area. I only know how to swap the trunklids, but I don't know how to swap the torsion springs, the lock cores, or the rear cabin deck so I have a third brake light (thanks for the notice on the third brake light DemonPossessed).

As much as possible I would like to trade for an 05 wingless trunklid. It would be better if the trunklid was debadged, but I'm not picky if the emblems are still on there. Though the 06/07 are compatible, I don't really like the Subaru emblem on the back; however, I've decided that I can live with the center emblem on the back.

From the pics, you can see that the trunklid has been kept good.





Just for clarification for those who don't know, the 04 black is not the same as the 05+ black. 04 = JBP, and 05+ = OBP

Sent you a PM, but I really want to trade for an 05. I'm not really a fan of the Subaru emblem on the trunklid. I really like the blank space on the trunklid; I'll call you if I change my mind. I'll update my thread if I change my opinion about the 06/07 trunklids.

 

if youre swapping from the sti trunk to a wingless. you might want to also swap the rear decks so you can also get the third brake light.
if you dont swap the rear decks you wont have a hole to cleanly attack the third brake light, and the formerly wingless owner will have a hole where the third brake light went. to swap the rear decks you will have to remove the rear seats, seatbelts , b pillars and after that it pops out.
I've done the swap a couple times so if you need any help let me know.

Hey VladiWrX, I'll keep you in mind, but the last time we spoke, you told me you had some dents on your trunklid. When I did some research, the cheapest I could get a dent removed was about $50 per dent.

Thanks for the interest imout, but I'm really trying to trade for another 05. I'm not really a fan of the center emblem. If that changes, I'll update my thread.

It doesn't seem like the 05s are biting. I will be seriously evaluating the possiblilty with trading with your friend before he leaves, but I'm not gonna say anything is final. I REALLY want an 05 trunklid.

 

Alright that's cool I really want a wing before I leave that would be greatly appreciated and my friend steven knows how to do the torsion bars and the locks. he's done it before
