WTT 91 mr2 turbo

'nother bump for a pretty car.
I've owned an '87 and a 93 MR2 back in the UK. I have had my WRX for 7 years here in the US.
87 was the most fun. Cats were not required until 1993, so my MK1 had a straight-through Janspeed exhaust and sounded awesome. It drove like a go-kart on steroids.
The 93 was best on freeways and felt more like a GT compared to the MK1. Very nice drive though and really comfortable.
The WRX is utterly different. It is a fun car to throw around. It doesn't have the roadholding or grip of the MR2s, but it is still fun to drive. Swapping out the springs and struts has helped. The stock suspension is great for mountain roads/Tahoe etc. but is soft for regular driving. You need to get used to provoking oversteer though as it is not a natural thing for a WRX to do.
My previous car to the WRX was a 3rd gen RX-7. Given how impressive the power and handling is on the RX-7, I was surprised to find that the WRX didn't feel like too much of a step down in fun factor.
