WTB: Valentine One V1

I need to buy a Valentine 1 but would not like to pay full price. Anyone have the latest version for sale (I think v1.8)?

Thanks
Nick

Also have a question... does it need to be up in visible area for the laser to hit it to detect accurately? Or can I hide it away and just use a remote display?

Thank you.

yes, it helps. i hardwired mine and mounted it on the little flip down visor above the rear view mirror.

Wait... it helps to have the actual unit out in the open?

I am going to hardwire mine, but would like it hidden and just to use the remote display. Sorry for the n00b radar questions.

If you need it out in the open, isn't there no point in having a remote display?

it's hidden from people who walk by your car. you can't see it unless you stick your head under and look for it.

Already bought one on ebay.

Total for the unit and remote display was about 375 incl. shipping.

quick question----does it matter whether it's a version 7 or 8 V1 to have it work properly or does the radars in police cars are constantly updating thus having a version 8....
