You'll need these items anyways to put this turbo on a WRX. The VF39 is the turbo that comes on the USDM STi stock and is very similar to the VF34 but is slightly smaller. Figure on seeing about 10WHP less at the topend than the VF34. This is an excellent package for a WRX guy who wants a VF34 package but who wants to save some money. This is a 360 crank HP capable turbo package on a WRX with proper supporting mods.

Hey silly question is there a different EVO 2 for the STi and the WRX or the EVO2 is one and the same for both STi and WRX?

Yes, they are different part #'s. Fitment wise, the STi version will fit on the WRX but the WRX will not fit on the STi.
