I'm getting rid of my car. The first thing I have for sale is my V7 6 speed trans swap... complete.

Sorry, but I'm not willing to seperate these parts.

includes the following:
-6 spd trans with around 25-30k on it (shifts like new)
-RA gears (about 3750rpm at 80mph)
-50/50 torque split front/rear
-LSD front diff
-R180 LSD rear diff
-STI 5x100 rear hubs w/brembos (matt black)
-rear axels
-drive shaft
-front axel adapters (no front hubs, you use stock 5x100)

Extras included in price:
-Cobb adjustable short shifter
-Cobb shifter bushings
-Kartboy rear shift bushing
-group N tranny mount
-ACT 6 puck with only 4000 miles on it
-ACT street light flywheel 4000 mi

Basically it's a tarmac hill climb tranny. The 50/50 split has crazy traction out of corners. With my suspension setup it will pull the front in and just step out the rear at full throttle. Not raced and only seen one track day.

Any way to get this trany to no have that jdm crap? I don't like how it is at 3750 at 80mph. my car will run through gas like crazy! Can anything be done?

you can swap usdm sti gears in there. but thats goin to cost maybe like another grand.

 

I don't this it is all that much, I know in my car I'm at 3200 at 80mph. Only reason why I ask is because I dont do so good on gas if I am driving over 3200rpm's

 

Pretty nice setup. I'd like to pick it up, but i'm afraid the gearing is just too low for me. You should have left the stock fifth and sixth in there.

 

give me like a month and i will pick it up...

 

The tranny was built when I got it and the gearing is totally liveable. It's one of those things that everyone makes a big deal out of nothing. The top gear acceleration is nothing short of epic with this setup and 300+ AWHP. Forget about having to downshift to pass and I still got 22mpg on the highway (That's all I get in my Honda Element).

3rd Eye, I'm willing to hold onto it for you if you're willing to commit. If you're really serious, then call me cause I'm going to put it back on CL tomorrow.

It's been hard watching my car go completely back to stock. I have a ton of parts on CL. Anyone interested need only do a search for "Ash WRX".
