no it will not work on an 04. it is for 02-03 2.0L

Are you sure about that?

I know the Version 2 AP comes with a jumper connector for 02/03 and a separate one for 04/05 but the AP is still the same.

I wonder if that's my issue. I need to test the one I have on another car before I sell it or give trade it or whatever.
