Yeah trust me...its not cheap. I spent about $4500ish @ LIC and Adam was able to get me a good used 02 wrx shortblock as well in that price. Expensive mistake at my cost...but LIC did some very good work and my ride is once again solid :bananen_smilies091:
Honestly the car has rodknock and is showing symptoms of it you say, and has a good amount of body damage. I doubt you'd be able to get 9, but only time will tell. You're better off parting out the car honestly.

It's still a unicorn in excellent condition. $9000 is not unreasonable.

Can I get a bag of what you guys are smoking?

Not to be a dick, but what you have there is a rolling chasis and a very large, very heavy paper weight.

What we're "smoking" is an understanding of what a unicorn is. That car is more rare than a 22b.

I don't agree with that statement, but I do hope Duhrr is able to make something out of the car. Good luck man. I also sent you a PM.

An RS with a green paint job is worth more that a specially built, direct from subaru, high performance car that puts down close to 350bhp from a 2.2l?

Oh and only 400 were made.

Im not trying to ruin this guy's sale but come on, get some perspective and knowledge.

I never said it was worth mroe than a 22b. I said it's worth more than almost any RS you'll find for sale.

I think thats an opinion. Not everyone feels the same about the "Unicorn" mantra. It's all up to what the buyer is willing to spend that will determine its value.

Correctamundo!

Paint is paint man! I could buy some goldies for $400, slap on a maaco paintjob for like $800 and presto instant Unicorn!

dear god not the maaco paint job!

this car deserves atleast a 2stage paint job.. but you wont find the shimmer of the gold flake or the blue shadow from any of those paint job. the arcadian green is amazing in person.

you'd have to see the car to appreciate the green.

Just...... Stop already. Value is subjective. It's worth exactly what someone else is willing to pay. Hint: if it were silver, black, blue, charcoal grey or white it would have been looooong gone a loooong time ago (partly in fact because I would have bought it).

This Unicorn... is it really that special because of the paint job? From a performance perspective... for 9gs, you can buy an 00-01 RS thats in decent running condition, has an LSD, more reliable motor, a bit more punch, and less molested. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a modified vehicle worth less? Especially, if the motor is done with only 65k miles and a ****load of mods.... you can predict its been ran pretty hard... *personally, i feel like i'm buying someone else's mess and just having to clean it up.

Just enlighten me about this green subaru that needs an overhaul and how its worth 9gs... o_O
