Depends on the year car, 05-07 should be plug and play but anything older would need some different plugs and soldering probably.

I used this write up to put a 05 sti cluster into my 02 wrx. He says as far as he knows it works for 05-07 sti clusters

Yup ^.

The 04 cluster plugs match up perfectly to all wrx's. 05-07 cluster need to be slightly filed down to fit wrx plugs. But it's nothing drastic. Very easy to do.

04 sti clusters will be P&P but 05+ will need some work. found this out when i did it on my old rex
