STI Brembo front brakes, 5x100, JDM (yes, seriously!)
For Sale : set of front STI Brembos and rotors to fit 02+ WRX, 04 (only) STI, and others that they normally fit.
I picked these up back in September 2003 from one of the "old school" BAIC members, BADWRX, when he parted out his 02 WRX before moving out of the Bay Area. The brakes originated from Japan, and were originally on a Japanese STI (remember, this was from BEFORE when the STI was available in the US ). That said, the brakes are 100% identical to what was on an 04 STI in the USA.
Included are :
The downsides are a couple :
1. The rotors are still usable and I would feel confident in them being fine for many thousands more miles on the street, but I would replace them before heavy track usage. They are NOT warped, but they are lipped a little (pads are smaller than the rotor and somewhat aggressive = the pads DO wear the rotor) and the rotors (at the thinner point inside the lip where the pads ride) are at minimum spec thickness of 28mm right now.
2. The calipers are "decent" but not perfect cosmetically. There are minor paint chips in them, since I did often wheel R&R on the car (autocrossed often, and usually changed wheels before and after every event). If this is for a street car, they are fine and the calipers still look SWEET from a few feet away. If it is for your HIN show machine, you probably want something with better paint.
So ALL that considered, I am asking $700 obo for the whole package of calipers, rotors, stainless braided front lines, and 2 sets of brakepads. I'll also throw in a bottle of Valvoline synthetic brake fluid (which, for the price, has shockingly good specs ) that was just opened today, and has about a pint left in it.
See Pics Below, PM me if interested!

Included are :
- STI Brembo Calipers
- Stainless braided front lines, still attached to the calipers (i.e. you can just hook the lines up to your car, bleed them and done, no need to replace banjo bolts/washers)
- NEW bolts to attach the calipers to the spindles
- Stock Subaru STI Rotors
- TWO sets of pads : Hawk HP+ (25% life or more left), Cobb "Race" pads (80% or more life left)

Yes, I have Paypal ed@runnion.net
Yes, they bolt right up to the stock spindles. R&R is about 1 hr from stock brakes to these brakes.
Be sure you have wheels that clear them before bolting them onto the car...

Maybe it is unclear from unfamiliarity with how these brakes bolt up, but there are no "special or magic wonder brackets" to make these work on a WRX . The calipers just bolt straight up to the spindles.
As for wheel clearance, be SURE your wheels will work on an 04 STI and thus they would work with these brakes. It is the buyer's responsibility to do due diligence on this one (i.e. many wheels DO NOT fit over these brakes), and I would highly advise that you ask first and not just assume they will fit. You might be in for an ugly surprise otherwise

My bad Ed. sorry.
I swear I had put these on my friend's L with all STi guts and they fit, but I must be forgetting something cause SD says Torques in 17x7.5 do not fit.
:crys:
I want these so bad. :sigh: Good luck on the sale.
